Jefferson Hunt, born in Mound Fort 1852?

Jefferson Hunt was the sixth child of Amos Hunt and Nancy Garret Welborn.  His parents left their home in Muhlenburg County, Kentucky in 1852 and traveled by handcart to Utah, arriving September 24th 1852.  Soon after arriving, Jefferson was born on 29 Oct 1852. [Note:  It was announced that the people in the Ogden area needed to "fort up" in 1853, thus he was not born in the fort]

The family settled in Ogden, Utah.  The first few years were busy ones for pioneering was hard, there was a home to be built and a living to earn.

Jefferson married Celestia Terry in 10 October 1871 in the Endowment House in Salt Lake City, in the Utah Territory.  They were the parents of 9, and raised their family in the Washington County, Utah area.

Jefferson is the Great-Grandfather of Allyson Hunt Wood, author of this blog.  http://www.hunthistories.com/Histories/JeffersonHunt.html
