LDS Mound Fort Wardhouse

 At the top of the hill sets the "Mound Fort Ward" Church House of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The original settlers of this area moved to Mount Fort for protection and as a community wanting to worship God as they saw fit.

The history of these LDS families runs through Kirtland Ohio, Nauvoo Illinois, Winter Quarters, and after being driven from the East moved to the Salt Lake Valley in the Utah Territory to find peace and live as they desired.

Different groups were called to settle the different areas in this Territory.
